Released in October 1999, Random Acts Of Insanity continues to be a fan favorite. Despite my best efforts to write better songs, some fans still like this album better than all others released since then. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Listen to it for yourself. You be the judge.

"One-man Iowa band attempts the impossible: combine heavy Industrial beats with touchy-feely new age melodies. The result is more compelling than you might imagine -- something akin to Pink Floyd on steroids."

"This album breathes precision and care. The lush, dreamy, synth-pop soundscapes cascade off one another harmoniously, preserving the melodic stream of music and lyrical passages. Delicate keyboards and rich, full vocals are constant throughout. "The End" alone is worth the price of this album, and has quickly taken its place among my preferred play list; but "Warped" through "Points of Light" (tracks 7-13) are all perfectly composed as well. I stand in awe of the gifted aptitude Subtlerage brings to their craft. This album was my first foray into independent music, and, given its lush arrangement, I don't plan on looking back."

"The latest collection from Subtlerage is a perfect balance between gentle and aggressive styles that balance each other to the point of perfection. "Random Acts of Insanity" is for anyone who is a fan of Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, The Dream Academy, you get the picture! The production, done in a home studio, is better than many contemporary band pay thousand to do in a professional studio. Bottom line: while you may not hear any of these songs on your local radio station, you should or you are being cheated from some of the most dynamic music available today."

"I thought this was a masterpiece of lyric-writing, instrumentation, and production! {I do something similar, as I too am a "one-man-band" of sorts! But you surpass me in perfected talents and musical abilities!} Keep us the excellent work! Will be looking forward to getting the CD and hearing more!"
